Review

■We Can Do It
This book describes 40 as the halfway point in life. It also marks the end of the supposedly good first half of life.
It’s certainly true that the first half of life is described as the good part, with many new experiences and plenty of energy.
On the other hand, thanks to our past experiences, we feels we can make the rest of our life more fulfilling.
After all, we live in a world where we can survive even if we fail, as long as we’re healthy.
Rather, I feel it’s a waste to spend every day feeling bored without any successes or failures.

■ Throw Away Unnecessary Pride
It may take some courage to start something new after turning 40. For those with high status or pride, it may be difficult to humbly accept new things.
Things may move forward more smoothly if we approach the role of an old rookie, value humility, and discard unnecessary pride. Even at work, some older people who re-enter the workforce often complain about their new environment. This is unfortunate. By working with a rookie mindset and incorporating our own experience, we can achieve fulfilling work.
■ Enjoy Life
This story features many people who have stumbled in life at the age of 40, who decide to make a fresh start. And above all, we enjoy our new lives. It really makes we realize that having fun is what makes life worth living.
The final scene, in which each character’s life drama is portrayed on stage, each acting as an actor, was an interesting touch.
