Synopsis
Yosuke, a 17-year-old high school student, was spending his days aimlessly, unsure of his goals or dreams.
Then, a beautiful yet mysterious girl named Haruka appeared before him.
She gradually changed Yosuke’s values by sharing with him “Seven Lessons to Make Your Life Shine.”

- Become a person of great charm.
- Don’t see the means as the end.
- Let go of preconceived notions that you can’t do something.
- There is nothing in life that you can’t do.
Eventually, Yosuke makes a “wish list” and a “list of things I want to do for others,” and begins to take small actions one after another.
As he tries to make positive changes to his life, he becomes attracted to Haruka,
but in fact, she is nearing the end of her life.
This is a moving story about how a summer encounter changes a boy’s life forever.
Thoughts
I felt this book taught me the preciousness of life.
It teaches us that simply living each day without thinking about anything is a waste, and that there is a limit to the amount of time we have in life.
I strongly felt that I wanted to have a purpose in life and spend each day cherishing it.
