Review

■If I Could Live Another Life
Become someone else, even down to your family register. Become someone else, even while retaining all of your past memories.
I wonder if such a thing is even possible, but as I read this story, I’m left feeling like it could actually happen, and that perhaps there are people like that already in this country.

Fortunately, I have no desire to become someone else. However, what if there was an option to become someone else when life isn’t going well and future efforts are beyond your control due to family circumstances or past events? It wouldn’t be surprising if some people made that choice. If they were to live a new life in this way, they might be able to live as if they were given a second chance. This story isn’t all lighthearted. However, it’s a tragic yet endearing tale about a man who rises from the depths of despair to become a completely different person, as well as the family and others around him.

■Can a lie become the truth?
Perhaps it’s possible to believe a lie and make it seem real. And what exactly is a lie? If no one else knows the truth, perhaps it doesn’t exist.

■The more the mystery unravels, the more addictive it becomes.
The story begins in a rural stationery store. It follows several characters before finally revealing the truth about a man who died there—a father. It’s an addictive story that keeps you reading, driven by your desire to discover the truth.
Tracing someone’s life leads to examining your own, making you reconsider what happiness and life really are.
